Safety Induction
Introduction
Read Safety Alert 16-2020: Site Visitor Management
Valley Heights is a SINE site, where we use the SINE system for safety management.
Before you can work as a volunteer, you must complete two levels of induction:
This is required for all Transport Heritage NSW sites
There are separate site inductions for each THNSW site. Before you start work at a site, you should do the site induction first.
After 24 months you will need to update and do the induction(s) again.
And after you have completed the general and site inductions...
If there is a SINE check in tablet available, you must check in on arrival and check out on departure
Every volunteer must complete an In Case of Emergency (ICE) card. This captures personal details, including
contact person (e.g. spouse, close relative).

ICE cards are stored under lock and key in the library. All Management Committee members and duty officers have a key to the Library.
You can download and use this ICE card template, or complete a paper copy at the Museum.
Please send your completed ICE card to the VHLDHM Secretary (Secretary@valleyheightsrailmuseum.info)
